Dan Thommasian - Club President

Dan is the President of our small Schutzhund Club! He has been involved with canines from the minute he could crawl! His father was an avid competitor in Field Trials and Hunting Trials. Dan would crawl all over his dad’s dogs! He fell in love with German Shepherds during his military and law enforcement careers. His past includes being a K9 handler for two dogs and was also the K9 coordinator for his local Sheriff’s Office. As a K9 handler, he met a waitress that competed in Schutzhund. She explained the sport to him and ever since, he has embraced the sport. As a member of the Army National Guard, his multiple deployments have not kept him from participating in the sport. He has continued to train and title multiple German Shepherds while deployed. Additionally, he has helped many others reach their goal! Dan loves the dogs, people, and promoting the sport of Schutzhund!

Moriah Thommasian - Club Secretary
Moriah has been involved with animals all her life! She has had a variety of dogs and has found immense pleasure training with all of them. Since discovering the sport of Schutzhund in 2008, she has fallen in love with German Shepherds! Her love for the sport keeps her engaged with her K-9 Macie! The sport has taught her how to communicate better with her dog Macie promoting a stronger bond between them. Moriah is also currently training a young Belgian Malinois named Uzi! Moriah currently serves as the Secretary of the Club!
Janett Wolford

Schutzhund, IGP found me. In 2017 I got a Doberman pup. I had prior dog experience but not in the sport of Schutzhund. Virgil and I began our journey, making almost every mistake you can make. After meeting and working with many wonderful people, I was able to title him to an IGP 1. My second dog Divine had a much different start and I’m looking forward to how far we will go as a TEAM! The journey these dogs have taken me on has been remarkable. I’ve met so many interesting people and accomplished trainers that have been a motivation.

It truly is a Divine Journey 🐾🐾♥️

Scott Gearhart
Scott has competed in a wide variety of dog venues as well as being part of Search and Rescue! Scott has done show ring and was an avid competitor in herding! Since retiring, Scott has embraced the sport of Schutzhund with his faithful companion, Birdie! Birdie is a Belgian Malinois! Scott brings knowledge and a keen eye to the club! Scott recently completed his BH in the sport of Schutzhund and he is working towards his first title!
Debra Zimmerman
Thora is my first Schutzhund training prospect!  Our journey together has already been incredibly rewarding, and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish.  We're both eager to learn and grow together.
Robert Abbott

Although I have owned Shutzhund titled dogs, I have never tried to title one myself. I needed to find a club that would work with me and my dog's personalities and not try to mold us into their personalities. I found that with the Humble Pie club.

It must be Kharma!

Mark Bauer
Mark Bauer and his dog Iko share a joyful bond centered around training. Their goal is to have fun together while also connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for dog training. Through their shared experiences, they aim to build lasting friendships within the dog training community.
